COACHES
Virginia Vibe was founded with the goal to develop softball players. Our philosophy is that you develop players first and the wins will come later. We are dedicated to providing a fun environment for players, while holding them to a higher standard of excellence, which includes understanding the concepts of the game of softball as well as developing the physical skills to help them execute those concepts in live game situations.
B.J. Koubaroulis
FOUNDER AND OWNER
B.J. Koubaroulis is a long-time area youth sports coach. Koubaroulis is the head coach at The Koub Hoop Group. He is also the Co-Director of Upward Youth Basketball program -- a K-6 boys and girls youth league that serves more than 400 players each winter. He has three daughters, ages 12, 10 and 7. Koubaroulis has coached softball, baseball, basketball, soccer and is focused on teaching the game as well as ensuring an inclusive style of coaching as well as putting a focus on keeping the game fun.
RUSS HAYNES
ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH
Russ Haynes – a long-time area youth softball coach – is an assistant coach and associate head coach and will work with catchers, control overall game strategy and coach third base during games. Russ has coached youth softball since 2016 and has been a pillar in the local youth softball community.
